I've been a big fan since The Shopping List and I'm really happy to see that this game is just as good if not better than that one. I would consider this game more of a Horror 'Experience' than a 'Game' because there isn't necessarily a gameplay related challenge except for that one part where you close doors multiple times.
Broken Through is very much a linear game in which the Horror happens to you as you progress through the game and it's because of that that I feel more comfortable calling it an experience, and a great one at that.
The visuals were great, even beautiful at times. The music sort of felt like it was one more play away from being repetitive but that isn't an issue. The sound design is great and you know you're in trouble when the thumpy bass starts to kick in (or go away). The story is good and unexpectedly wholesome by the end, something you don't see very often these days.
I never felt bored or frustrated and these are very important things to nail in a horror game.
If you liked The Shopping List but want some more tension and scares, DO NOT skip on this game! It got a original story, a nice retro style, great tension, smooth storytelling and might I say some sexy sounds and screams of various variety. I highly recommend this game! It's great! You will not regret a second of playing it!
The Shopping List was great and borrows a lot of the art style from The Shopping List but this genuinely made me jump/get scared a little, @JordiBoi you just keep getting better and better :)
Wow... this game is amazing, it's actually some kind of nightmare I would have when I was a kid, could have more details in modelling and mapping, but in general it's great, keeps the same essence from the shopping list, and it's also free
